Point- serves as the focus of a visual, highlighting or drawing attention to important information. It gets the viewers attention to important information.Several points in combination may represent a more complicated object or idea.A series of points can attract attemtion, especially as they move closer together
Line- A line is a form with width and length, but no depth. Artists use lines to create edges, the outlines of objects. A line is created by the movement of the artist's pen. Vertical lines suggest mor of a potential for movement, while diagonzal lines strongly suggest movement and give more of a feeling vitality to a picture.
Shape- a shape is defined as an area that stands out from the space next to or around it due to a defined or implied boundary, or because of differences of value, color, or texture.A shape is formed when a line encloses an area. Shapes can vary endlessly and can suggest physical form and direct eye movement.
Form- is the three dimensional feel and look of an object. A shape looks flat and two dimesional. All objects have shape or form. Forms are geometric. Geometric forms have volume a word that describes the weight density and thickness of an object.
Color- color occurs when light in different wavelengths strikes our eys. Objects have no color of their own, only the ability to reflect a certain wavelength of light back to our eyes. As you know, color can vary in differing circumstances. For example, a grass can appear gray in the morning or evening or birhgt green at noon.
Texture- as the surface characteristics of a material that can be experienced through the sense fo touch or the illusion of touch. Texture can be uses to accent an area so that it becomes more dominant than another. IN visual images, actual textures can be uses, such as cloth, boxes, small objects, and natural items.
Tone- value as bothe terms refer to various degrees of lightness or darkness. At this point, the colour of the subject is unimportant.The elemnt of value or tone is, in its simplest form, the juxtaposition of light and dark. It is defined as intensity of lightness or darkness in anything that is visable.
Letterform- An individual letter or character
